Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and disciplined work habits to compliment our Ramage Company team as Construction Administrative Assistant. The Construction Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Company’s Director of Operations on a day-to-day basis, however, the Construction Administrative Assistant may be requested to provide administrative support for various members of our team.  Such support may include contacting vendors, subs, and owners; ordering/returning materials; sending email and BuilderTrend messages on behalf of other staff members; assisting in scheduling meetings; entering data into BuilderTrend; and obtaining signatures from various parties. We are committed to the growth and fulfillment of each of our team members just as we are committed to the growth of our Company.

The areas in which the Construction Administrative Assistant has responsibility include Administrative Assistant, Client Services Management, and Social Media Engagement. Responsibilities include:

•  Process purchase orders and subcontractor agreements including ordering of allowance-based design selections such as tile, light fixtures, etc.

•  Track sub-contractor insurance certifications, w-9s, and lien releases

•  Track builders risk insurance for all properties

•  Process permits with building department, after receiving the appropriate training

•  Assist with management of Company-owned properties

•  Scan documents for storage into cloud-based storage; process mail from P.O. box and office mailbox

•  Assist with office management including office supplies, planning company events, greeting office visitors, etc.

 Client Services Management

•  Assist with client design selections process in BuilderTrend

•  Assist with managing project documents such as contracts, surveys, etc in BuilderTrend

•  Assist with scheduling our trade partners and suppliers

•  Assist with closing tasks such as transferring warranty information, re-keying doors, delivering keys and garage door openers, transferring utilities

•  Manage printing and reproduction of construction drawings for delivery to our team and trade partners 

Social Media Management

•  Take before and progress pictures; schedule completed pictures for applicable projects

•  Post pictures and other information to social networks; assist in managing social media account including responding to comments, questions, etc.

•  Assist in the creation of content for various social media platforms, website, etc.

Core Competencies

•  Friendly disposition, positive attitude and good work ethic with the ability to work in a team environment

•  Unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction

•  Competent technology skills including Google Docs, spreadsheet and word processing software, Dropbox, and basic office equipment such as computers, scanners, printers, and copiers

•  Familiarity with social media

•  Willing to learn the basic functions of BuilderTrend, with the appropriate training, within a reasonable time after hire

•  Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

 Job requirements

•  Must be eligible to work in the United States

•  Must have reliable transportation in order to be present at work on time on all days required. Minimal travel required

•  Pass a thorough background check and provide job references

•  Physical requirements: Position involves sitting, standing and/or movement, the ability to exert minimal force of up to 15 pounds and occasionally exert minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull and otherwise move objects.

Project Supervisor

We are looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and disciplined work habits to compliment our Ramage Company team as a Project Supervisor. This position will utilize strong organizational skills to coordinate all construction site activities and supervise all field personnel as required to successfully complete our projects on schedule and within budget. Ramage Company is committed to the highest standards in our construction practices requiring focused attention to detail and emphasis on quality control.  The Project Supervisor will utilize well-developed interpersonal skills to supervise all trade and field personnel while managing relationships with Ramage Company team members, clients, trade partners, and suppliers in relation to his or her projects. He or she will administer proper safety protocol relating to all onsite activities.  We are committed to the growth and fulfillment of each of our team members just as we are committed to the growth of our company.

Responsibilities include:

•  Coordinate and supervise all construction activities

•  Maintain a customer service mindset providing an excellent experience for the client during the build process

•  Promote job site safety by encouraging safe work practices and rectifying job site hazards immediately. Ensure all Company employees and trade partners adhere to the company safety policy in relation to his or her projects

•  Create and maintain construction schedule by directing field personnel to achieve completion of project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to construction drawings and specifications

•  Maintain and manage budgets, change orders, and control cost overruns.  Understand the general cost of labor and materials for his or her projects with the ability to verify and approve invoices from trade partners and suppliers

•  Skillfully and effectively implement Ramage Company process disciplines in accomplishing work objectives. Contribute to the refinement and improvement of process disciplines with ideas, innovation and collaboration

•  Maintain positive working relationships among Ramage Company team members, customers, contractors, and suppliers.

•  Prepare, schedule and supervise completion of a final punch list.

•  Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications

•  Friendly disposition, positive attitude, and good work ethic with the ability to work in a team environment

•  Adequate technology skills

•  Construction knowledge including strong understanding of construction processes, construction drawings, materials, and project management software tools

•  Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

 Job Requirements

•  Minimum of 2-5 years in field required

•  Formal training in project management preferred

•  Bachelor’s Degree; Construction or Engineering preferred

•  Valid Driver’s License with excellent driving record

•  Pass a thorough background check and provide job references

•  Minimal travel required

•  Physical requirements: Position involves sitting, standing and/or movement, the ability to exert minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull and otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and other means to reach and observe all areas of building
